"Hell Week" is upon us

Summer is approaching fast, and that means finals are just around the corner. As most students have noticed, the hardest week of school is the week preceding finals, due to excessive procrastination, a fast growing pile of homework, and nice weather outside. This makes the second to last week of school known as “Hell Week.”

According to urbandictionary.com, “Hell Week” is defined as “A week at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy that involves much studying, loads of homework, and numerous papers, all due on the same day. Usually occurs before an extended or finals week. Some have reported that hell week occurs some time in February also.”

But according to the students of Augsburg, we’re approaching our own "Hell Week" right now.  Sophomore Amanda Chaffin says, “I’m looking forward to a week of hardcore cramming. I’m really just scrambling to get everything done and still be alive. I can’t wait for summer.” Freshman Nate White reports, “Next week will suck, but hopefully it won’t be as bad as last semester.”

In between study sessions, take a walk, get a coffee, and maybe work on your tan. Summer is right around the corner.
