The Augsburg College Melanchthon Talks Nov. 13 and 14

The Augsburg College Melanchthon Talks, featuring Dr. Timothy Wengert, will be held Monday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. and Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 10 a.m. in the Hoversten Chapel, Foss Center, Augsburg College.

Wengert in the Ministerium of Pennsylvania Professor of Reformation History at Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia. He is widely recognized as an expert on the life and works of Philip Melanchthon, having written much about the teaching of the less-famous Wittenberg reformer. Wengert served for seven years as a parish pastor in Wisconsin and earned his Ph.D from Duke University.

Nov. 13 lecture: “Confessing the Faith in Augsburg.”
Nov. 14 lecture: “Expounding Scripture From its Center.”
