Auggie women's soccer in MIAC playoffs tonight!

Augsburg's women's soccer team has qualified for the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference playoffs for the second straight season, and will compete in the playoff semifinals tonight (Tuesday 11/1) at 7:30 p.m. at Macalester College in St. Paul.

Augsburg is the No. 4 seed in the playoffs, finishing the regular season with an 8-2-7 overall record (5-2-4 MIAC). Macalester, the No. 3-ranked team nationally in the Division III national poll and top-ranked team in the Central Region, is 16-0-1 overall (10-0-1 MIAC), having won the MIAC regular-season title to earn the top seed in the playoffs. However, Macalester's lone tie of the season came at the hands of Augsburg, a 1-1 draw on Sept. 28 in Minneapolis.

If Augsburg wins tonight, it would play in the conference championship game on Saturday (11/5) at the winner of the other semifinal between No. 2 seed Concordia-Moorhead and No. 3 seed St. Thomas.

If you can't make it to Macalester for tonight's game, you can listen online to Augsburg's live audio webcast of the game, through Augsburg's arrangement with Stretch Internet.
