Tometria Bean receives Linda Schrempp Alberg Leadership Award

Tometria Bean was named Sunday as this year’s recipient of the Linda Schrempp Alberg Leadership Award. Tometria, a junior at Augsburg, was selected because of her outstanding leadership and involvement in campus activities, as well as her demonstrated skills and values.

Tometria has been involved in campus activities, Pan-Afrikan Student Union, and the Multicultural Recruitment Team in Admissions. She was recently elected Vice President for Student Government for the 2003-04 academic year. She has also developed her own initiative to assist women in the community.

Tometria received this award because she is involved in activities and also demonstrates characteristics of leadership potential, nurturing of others, effective communication skills, creativity, proactive style, fairness.

The Linda Schrempp Alberg Award is given annually to an Augsburg undergraduate student who reflects the qualities of leadership and commitment to enhancing college life that distinguished the professional life of Linda Schrempp Alberg.
