State of Faith: Ethics at Work Conference

Oct. 14, 2003

Augsburg College is one of the sponsors for the State of Faith: Ethics at Work conference, to be held October 16 at Central Lutheran Church in Minneapolis.

Attendees will be engaged in a leadership dialogue at the critical intersection of faith and business and will be invited to attend roundtable discussions providing perspectives from the business and clergy points of view, breakout sessions to allow all participants a chance to address the timely and fundamental questions of faith, work and ethics, and a keynote address by Frances Hesselbein, who has received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, to recognize her leadership as CEO of the Girl Scouts of the U.S. as well as serving as founding President of the Peter F. Drucker Foundation for Non-Profit Management.

Many questions will be addressed by the round table discussions such as: What are the connections between stewardship and vocational calling? How has being a Christian influenced the purpose of my business and its mission in the world? And others.
Conference participants will also have an opportunity to contribute to a business scholarship at Augsburg College.
