Cass Dalglish invited to participate in ‘Minnesota’s largest art opening’ Cass Dalglish, associate professor of English, has been invited to participate in the McKnight Foundation and Walker Art Center’s kick off of a web site for Minnesota artists and art enthusiasts, mnartists.org, in a 24-hour online event Dec. 5- 6, from 9 a.m. – 9 a.m.

To mark the occasion, mnartists.org is premiering an exhibition, producing a concert, presenting a live Webcast, and having a party, all within 24 hours.
From photographer to poet, weaver to woodcarver, writer to rosemaler, 288 Minnesota-based artists from all regions of the state will broadcast their work in five-minute segments around the clock.
The project began as a new way to support and promote Minnesota artists’ work. The McKnight Foundation and Walker Art Center partnered to develop a website that could serve as an online gathering place to explore art and to connect with artists.

Dalglish will read a portion of her meditation on the work of Sumerian poet enheduanna. The work is a selection from her new media translation of enheduanna’s “nin-me-sarra,” a poem written in honor of the Mesopotamian deity Inanna in 2350 BCE.
