America's Global Leadership is topic of International Relations/Russian Conference at Augsburg

Three panelists will discuss "America's Global Leadership: Myths, Reality, Promises and Peril" from 2:30-4:30 p.m. on March 19 in Session II of Augsburg College's International Relations/Russian Conference.

The panel discussion will take place in the Foss Center (22nd and Riverside avenues) on the Augsburg campus.

The panelists include Robert Farlow, associate professor of political science at the University of St. Thomas, David Finley, professor of political science at Colorado College, and Charlotte Patton, assistant professor at York College in New York.

The moderator for the conference will be Norma Noonan, professor of political science at Augsburg and the director of the International Relations/Russian Conference.

Farlow, a specialist in comparative and international politics, has a strong interest in the politics of Eastern Europe. Finley is a specialist on Russian foreign policy, and Patton focuses on the role of the United Nations in her work. Session I of Augsburg's annual International Relations/Russian Conference was held in November.

Donations of $5 to the Russian Conference will be accepted, with students admitted at no charge. The conference is made possible with the assistance of the Judd Fund of the Minneapolis Foundation, the Center for Faculty Development and the International Relations Program at Augsburg College.
