Summer Accommodations

General Information

Located just east of Downtown Minneapolis, Augsburg College provides a fantastic location to host your next summer camp or conference.  The compact campus provides a safe, camper friendly location with very short walks between most buildings utilized for camps and conferences.  And, even better, the campus is located just a short train ride or walk from many of the city’s great destinations.

Augsburg College is available to host your upcoming camps and conferences between mid-May and mid-August of every summer.  We provide access to a variety of athletic complexes, several housing options, and technologically advanced and comfortable classrooms and conference rooms.  Please contact one of our talented events staff to begin your reservation!

Anderson Hall

Capacity:  172 beds
Style:  Adult, suite style living

Features: 

  • Rooms are arranged in groups of 2 people to 15 people with semi-private bathrooms
  • Air Conditioned Housing
  • Most suites have full kitchens (utensils and tableware NOT provided) but are furnished with beds, desks and dressers in each bedroom
  • Each suite has individually controlled air-conditioning units
  • The building has a controlled, secure entrance
  • Each floor has lounges and/or study rooms for small meetings and/or gatherings
  • The first floor has free laundry machines and pop/food vending machines

Room Styles Include:

Floorhouse:  These 15-person suites are ideal for large groups and can be co-ed, as there are male and female restrooms inside.  Each suite has nine bedrooms (six double occupancy, and three single occupancy), a large living room and a full kitchen.

Townhouse: These eight-person suites are multi-level units and have entrances on each floor.  Each unit has four double occupancy bedrooms and two bathrooms.  There is a main stairwell that runs between both floors of the unit on the inside.  Each townhouse also has a full kitchen and an unfurnished living area.

Apartment: These four-person suites are ideal for small groups or families that might be attending your conference.  Each apartment has two double occupancy bedrooms and one bathroom.  Each apartment also has a full kitchen and an unfurnished living area.

Suite: The suites are our most private housing option with each housing two people in single occupancy bedrooms.  Each unit has a private entrance and the two units share one bathroom.  Each suite has a dorm size refrigerator and a microwave.

What you should bring:

  • Hangers are not provided.  If you will need to hang clothing items, you may wish to pack some hangers
  • An iron, if you will need to iron clothing
  • Any personal toiletries that you may need.
  • A small television or radio if you will need one.  Rooms are not furnished with televisions, etc.
  • A travel alarm clock
  •  Desks do not have desk lamps included.  If you will need a desk lamp, you may wish to pack your own
  • Linen packages are available

*Each person is supplied with one full set of linens including two sheets, a pillowcase, one blanket, a pillow, a mattress pad, two towels and a washcloth. If you have personal bedding items you would prefer to use, please be sure to bring those with you.

Urness Hall

Capacity:   300 beds
Style:  Freshman dorm style

 

Features:

  • Each room is a double occupancy dorm room that has two twin beds, two desks and two dressers.
  • Non Air-Conditioned
  • Each floor has one large floor bathroom with several shower and toilet stalls.
  • Each room is provided one fan.
  • The building has a controlled, secure entrance.
  • Each floor has a lounge for small
    meetings or gatherings.
  • Elevator to reach all nine floors.
  • There free laundry machines in the basement and pop/food vending machines in the lobby.

What you should bring:

  • Sleeping bag and/or linens.  Unless specifically arranged for with your groups, we do not provide linens, blankets or pillows in this building, so be sure to pack what you will need.
  • A fan.  One is provided, but you may wish to have an extra.
  • Towels and a bathrobe.  You will need to travel between your room and the bathroom and you may wish to have a bathrobe.
  • Any personal toiletries that you may need.
