Intercampus Mail

You may easily send mail from one department to another on campus.  Simply use an inter-company mail envelope (reuse it until all the line are filled), cross off the last name in the column and write the name and department of the person to whom you are mailing (campus box too if you  know it).  OR fold and staple sheets in half and clearly mark to whom the sheets should be sent.  You can get this inter-campus mail on its way in one of two ways:

  1. Drop it in one of two collection boxes in Christensen Center (main floor by the Incoming Mailroom and lower level by the vending machines) by 2:30 PM.  It will be distributed to the campus box or delivered the next day.
  2. Place it in an out-going mail tray in your department to be picked up when your incoming mail is delivered.


You may request a distribution of materials to campus mailboxes, for example a flyer.  Please complete this request form .  Prior authorization is required, and mailings from outside organizations must be sponsored by a campus organization or the President.  Campus box stuffs may require a signature from a Divisional Vice President, the Dean or the President on the form. (Please note the mail room does not accept signatures from staff within the department making the request.)   Campus box stuffs must be completed by Central Services staff due to mail room security.

Deliver the material, along with the completed form, to the Incoming Mailroom, Copy Center, or Shipping/Receiving. If the Copy Center copies/prints the material for the box stuff, provide the completed form to the Copy Center when placing the copy request.

Generally, your distribution will be completed within two days from the date the project is delivered to the Incoming Mail room; this depends on the project size and the mail room’s current workload.
