Accessibility at Augsburg Workshop May 14

Faculty are encouraged to attend the Accessibility at Augsburg workshop. It would be wonderful to have each department represented.
Thursday, May 14
8:30-noon
Kennedy 305 (please note location)
Lunch provided at noon

The workshop will help faculty better understand and further develop skills to ensure course materials and activities are accessible. The workshop will also offer a hands-on opportunity to review a syllabus, assignment, etc., with knowledgeable peers.

An RSVP would be helpful to ensure we have enough space (and snacks!). The RSVP link is:

Event Announcements

All-Hands Planning Summit on Monday

Dear Augsburg faculty and staff,

I hope your plans are set to join the All-Hands Planning Summit on Monday from 9-11:30 a.m. in Si Melby gymnasium. We'll spend a few minutes looking back at the remarkable progress we have made on Augsburg2019 during this academic year, and then turn our attention to the hard work ahead. Our goal is to open up a wider campus conversation on Augsburg's future, with a particular focus on the second dimension of Augsburg's strategic plan--Augsburg's reputation and identity: Augsburg is at the table, framed by a presentation from Susan Brower, Minnesota's state demographer.

We'll hear responses to Ms. Brower's presentation from Dr. Jacqui deVries, Director of General Education and Professor of History, and Joanne Reeck, Chief Diversity Officer and Director of Campus Activities and Orientation. I'll share some remarks on what these demographic trends might mean for Augsburg's role in the region, and we'll ask you to engage in some table conversation to explore concrete next steps.

See you Monday at 9 a.m.!
