SS II in the Writing Lab

Tutors in the Writing Lab resumed work July 8 and will continue through SS II, ending August 8. Because of a reduction in library hours, the WL schedule had to be adjusted slightly. These are the hours for July 8 - August 8:

July 8 - August 8: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 4:30-7 p.m. (NOTE THIS CHANGE).

The Lab is located on the street level of Lindell Library, just left of the circulation desk. Tutors are available to help any Augsburg student with any writing assignment.

Needed for Photo Today: Auggies Now Employed by College

If you're an Auggie (Day, Weekend and/or Grad programs) who is now working as an Auggie, please come to the Quad near the steps of Christensen at 2 p.m., today, for a photo (weather permitting). Our own Stephen Geffre will be taking a picture we will be using in Institutional Advancement for a postcard. If you can wear some Augsburg gear, all the better, but it's not necessary. See you at 2 p.m.

McNair Summer Research Presentations

One component of the McNair Scholars Program is a 10-week summer research project. Each year students work with a faculty mentor on a specific topic, culminating in a final paper and presentation. In August students will be attending and presenting at the 21st Annual McNair Scholars Symposium at the University of California-Berkeley. If you would like the opportunity to see these presentations at Augsburg, please join us this upcoming Tuesday, July 16, at 10am in Kennedy 303/305. Attendees are encouraged to offer support and feedback. This event is open to the public, including all interested students, faculty and staff. See below for details:

On-line purchase requisition training

In an effort to streamline and do our work differently, we will be moving towards all purchase requisition requests being done on-line. If you are used to sending an e-mail to Purchasing to start the purchase order process, this trainnig is for you. Please attend training tomorrow, Tuesday, 9 AM, Riverside Room, Christensen Center. If you are unable to attend, please look for additional training sessions in the future.
