Summer Hours in the Writing Lab
Yes, the Writing Lab will maintain hours during May and summer for all WEC, grad, and summer students. The Lab is located on the street level of Lindell Library, just left of the circulation desk. Tutors will be available to help students with any writing assignment at these times:
May 6 - June 28: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
July 8 - August 8: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

Volunteers Needed for Bike Festival
If you love the sport of cycling or just want to support a local non-profit organization, this opportunity is for you!
Volunteers are needed for the Nature Valley Bike Festival. All proceeds from this event go to Children's Lighthouse of Minnesota, whose goal is to build Minnesota's first children's hospice.
Volunteers are needed:
Wednesday, June 12 (Downtown St. Paul)
Friday, June 14 (Uptown Minneapolis)
Sunday, June 16 (Stillwater)

Carola Thorson's Going Away Celebration
Please join the Augsburg Community in celebrating Carola's contributions to the College in her 10 years of service in Graduate Admissions and, most recently, as the Director of Undergraduate Admissions. Carola has accepted a position at the University of Minnesota--Crookston as the Director of Undergraduate Admissions. Cake and refreshments will be served.

4 Auggies Win Prestigious Intl. Ed. Scholarship
Congrats to the three Awesome Auggies, Mariam Ali (UAE); Darius Sean Gray (Brazil, Vietnam & So. Africa); Magaly Ortiz (Ecuador), who received the Gilman International Scholarship for study abroad this fall.
Celia Hernandez received the Gilman to study intensive Arabic this summer in Jordan.
30 Auggies have been awarded this prestigious scholarship since fall 2008.

I have a freezer-only (no fridge portion) for sale for $100!
