Public Safety and Facilities Announcements

Parking Lots Closed August 15 and 21

Parking Lots B and E (north and south of Urness and Mortensen) will be closed for parking lot maintenance on August 15th and 21st.

August 15th- filling pot holes, repairing pavement
August 21st- Sealing the parking lot pavement.

Vehicles parked in these lots will be towed at the owners expense in order to complete the work. Please park in other campus parking lots on these dates.

Orange signs will be posted at the parking Lot entrances as a reminder.

Moodle Huddle Workshops for Faculty and Staff

Get ready for Fall with the new moodle!

The version of moodle for the 2012-2013 academic year brings significant changes. Discover what is different and which features will enhance your course objectives. 6 possible days, 14 different sessions available, 9 IT staff, 2 IT students -- we're serious!

Workshop schedule is repeated daily from 9:00 am - 12:30 pm August 14, 15, 16, 28, 29, 30. Opening session begins in Sverdrup Hall 202.

Primary Elections Tues., August 14

Minnesota host primary elections on Tuesday, August 14. Most polls open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. A one-stop voter information webpage is available at: www.mnvotes.org

Students who live on campus can vote at the precinct for Augsburg College, which is listed as Christensen Center.

Melons? Farmers Market Today 11-1 p.m.

Hope to see you at the Farmers Market today from 11-1 in front of Foss Chapel, or from 2-5 at the Brian Coyle Community Center (420 15th Ave) if that works better. There are now plenty of tomatoes, and maybe even melons (and if not today, they'll appear in next week or two).

Dr. Cheryl Leuning Wins Award

Dr. Cheryl Leuning has won the Leiniger Transcultural Nursing Award! This prestigious international award is given to honor an outstanding and creative leader in transcultural nursing. Dr. Leuning will be receiving the award at the Transcultural Nursing Society Annual Conference this coming October. Please congratulate her on this amazing accomplishment!

HR Department Hours Aug. 14-15

The HR department will be closed all day today, August 14, and from 8 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, August 15. The closure allows HR staff to participate in a departmental annual retreat. N/Manny Needed

We are looking to hire a n/manny (or two) for the academic year to provide care for our 1 1/2-year-old son. We are looking for someone who is available on Monday (all day) and Tuesday & Thursday (afternoon only). We own a single family home in South Minneapolis.
