Public Safety and Facilities Announcements

Fac/Staff Surface Lot Parking Permit Sales

Fac/Staff surface lot parking permit sales begin Monday Aug 1 at 8:30am. All sales take place online through Augnet's Parking Services. Those that register by Friday Aug 12th will be entered into a drawing to win a free permit!

Log in now to update your vehicle information. Public Safety does tow unauthorized vehicles. Make sure your vehicle is correctly registered so that we can contact you should we have any concerns with your vehicle. Properly registering your vehicle does not just allow you to avoid a tow, it also allows us to call you if you leave your lights on, windows down, or we notice a flat tire.

Visit the parking website for more details about parking permit sale dates, prices and underground permits. http://www.augsburg.edu/dps/parking_permits.html

Please Turn in Fall Book Orders

Thank you to all faculty that have turned in book orders! Please visit www.whywaitforbooks.com to verify your order.

For those who have not turned in please do so asap! The first week of August we plan to open out textbook dept. and start selling textbooks. By turning in orders late, we have a smaller chance of getting used books and have a higher chance of books being backordered. Please help us create a smooth fall rush and student service by getting your orders in this week. I am sending out email today and tomorrow, please respond immediately.

Two Wonderful Cats Need Home ASAP

My friend has two wonderful female cats named Mia and Little that need a home as soon as possible. She is moving for a year and the person who was going to take care of them for that year just decided she couldn't do it; my friend will be moving out of her place on 7/31 and needs to get them a home before then!

Mia is about 4 and is a grey tabby. Little is a tortoise shell and is about 9. She got Mia when she was a kitten so she has grown up with Little; they've been known to groom each other and sleep in a yin-yang. They both like to go outdoors but also can be indoor cats.

My friend has litter boxes and collars and an awesome homemade cat tower for them to climb on. Little is declawed in the front and Mia is not; they are both spayed. Both cats are up-to-date on all their shots and recently had a check-up.

These cats have been loved deeply and are both very well-mannered- neither cat bites or scratches and both love to be pet. Little is especially affectionate if you let her come to you.

My friend may end up having to bring them to a shelter and it breaks my heart. Can anyone help?

Please send me an email as soon as you can if you think you may be able to take these kitties in.

Thanks!
