Staff Development Series - Tomorrow

Creating a Culture of Innovation and Excellence

This spring, CTL launched the first of three parts of a development series to address different aspects of creating a culture of innovation and excellence. Over the summer, sessions will involve follow up conversations about topics covered in the spring and issues related to putting what you've learned into practice. The sessions are held monthly from 3:00-4:30 pm during the summer.

The schedule for Summer 2011 is:

June 7, 2011, 3:00-4:30, OGC 114 – Summer Group Dialogues – Creating an Inclusive Campus (Jessica Fox-Wilson and Velma Lashbrook)
July 12, 2011, 3:00-4:30, OGC 114 – Summer Group Dialogues – Using Your Strengths (Jessica Fox-Wilson and Velma Lashbrook)
August 2, 2011, 3:00-4:30, OGC 200 – Summer Group Dialogues (Jessica Fox-Wilson)

Event Announcements

IX International Music Medicine Symposium June 8-12

Ruth Johnson, MD, will give the Welcome and Opening Remarks at the International Music Medicine Symposium held at Augsburg College June 8-12. Dr. Johnson is a consultant in the Department of Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic and assistant professor of medicine at Mayo Medical School, and is on the Augsburg College Board of Regents. This symposium, focused on research in the uses of music in pain management, chronic illness, mental illness, palliative care, brain injury, neuroendocrinology, and anxiety will be attended by physicians and healthcare practitioners from seven different countries. The opening session with Dr. Ruth Johnson is free and open to the public, Sateren Auditorium, Music Hall.
