Department of Residence Life Damage Charge Appeals

If you have been billed for damage (on the June bill) by the Department of Residence Life and wish to appeal this charge, please see the explanation of our process below.

Appeals:
Residents have 45 days (for the June bill, this is July 16, 2009 by midnight) from billing date to appeal any charges.
a. Charges must be appealed in writing through Augsburg issued email
account to reslifeops@augsburg.edu. In your email please include
your name, ID number, and residence hall/room number.
b. Resident must explain or show evidence supporting appeal of
charges.
c. Appeal is heard by Operations Committee which consists of the
Residence Hall Director chair and FC membership.
d. Appeal is decided and the student is notified of outcome through
Augsburg issued email accounts within 10 business days of receipt of
request.
e. If the appeal is granted, the credit be added to your student
account.


If you were charged for damages on the May bill, the appeal window has passed. Appeals for that billing cycle will no longer be heard.
