Spring Parking Permit Sales

Spring Parking Permits are on sale NOW:
Spring Parking Permits will be on sale the week of January 5. Please make note of your registration day:
January 5: Senior day students and PA students(8 a.m.)
January 6 for Junior day students and PA students(8 a.m.)
January 7 for Sophomore day students and PA students(8 a.m.)
January 8 for First Years day student and PA students(8 a.m.)
January 9: sales will be open to all class years and PA students (8 a.m.)
January 9: Oren Gateway Underground Permit sales will be open to Faculty and Staff. (8 a.m.)
Faculty and Staff may register for a permit at anytime.

Spring permits will be available for pick up at Public Safety dispatch starting on January 5 and/or two business days after purchase online. For more detailed information about parking permit sales and how to register for a permit, please visit www.augsburg.edu/dps/permitreg.html

Permits will be required in all campus lots beginning Monday January 12th.

Business Survival Summit and Workshop

The Business Survival Summit and Workshop will be held on Tuesday, January 27th from 6 – 8:30 PM. Hear from two local business leaders about reacting to economic challenges and attend two interactive workshops on strategic thinking and marketing and advertising effectiveness designed to help you survive and prosper in these challenging times. The workshops will be conducted by two Augsburg College business professors who are also business consultants. This event is sponsored by the Augsburg College MBA Program, The Post Bulletin, and the Rochester Chamber of Commerce, and is part of the "Connecting with the Community" learning series. This summit will be held in Bethel Hall at Bethel Lutheran Church, 810 3rd Avenue SE, Rochester and is free and open to the public. No registration is needed. CLICnet is Getting an Upgrade

On Tuesday, January 13, CLICnet will be unavailable all day. This means that you will not be able to look up books, videos, CDs, and other material in the library on that day. Reserves will also be unavailable. If you will need these kinds of materials on Tuesday, please plan ahead.

You will still be able to find journal articles in our other databases, and we'll be glad to help you find materials if you stop in at the Research Desk in the Learning Commons on the first floor of the Library or email us at refdesk@augsburg.edu or call us at 612-330-1604.

A Reminder to Graduating Day Students

Did you graduate fall semester 2008? Would you like to keep receiving your first-class mail? Stop by the Incoming Mailroom and fill out a yellow change of address form. We are able to forward your first-class mail for up to six months. We encourage graduating students to fill out a change of address form with the United States Postal Service (this can be done on USPS.com or with a mail-in card.) We also suggest contacting your magazine or newspaper subscribers, since we are unable to forward periodicals.

Wrestling Seeded No. 2 for D-III National Duals

Augsburg wrestling seeded No. 2 for D-III National Duals

The Augsburg wrestling team is seeded No. 2 in the Division III field for the NWCA National Duals, coming up this Saturday and Sunday at the University of Northern Iowa's UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

The Auggies will open against No. 15-seeded Buena Vista (Iowa) on Saturday at 11 a.m., in the 16-team Division III bracket. Defending national champion Wartburg (Iowa) is the No. 1 seed in the bracket, while Delaware Valley (Pa.) is No. 3 and Coe (Iowa) is No. 4.

After dropping to the No. 7 spot in the last national rankings following the Auggies' dual-meet loss to St. John's in November, the Auggies have returned to the No. 2 spot in the latest national rankings, released Tuesday. Wartburg is in the top spot, with the rest of the top 10 made up with Augsburg, Delaware Valley, Coe, Wisconsin-Whitewater, North Central (Ill.), Wisconsin-La Crosse, Ithaca (N.Y.), St. John's and Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

Augsburg has seven individuals ranked in the top 10 in their individual weight classes, including top-ranked wrestlers Seth Flodeen (SR, Cannon Falls, Minn.) at 125 pounds and Travis Lang (SR, Bismarck, N.D.) at 133. Willy Holst (SR, Prescott, Wis.) is ranked No. 2 at 149 and Jared Massey (JR, Circle Pines, Minn./Centennial HS) is ranked No. 2 at 197. Andy Witzel (JR, Fulda, Minn.) is ranked No. 3 at heavyweight, Lucas Murray (SO, Anoka, Minn.) is ranked No. 4 at 141 and Jason Adams (JR, Coon Rapids, Minn.) is ranked No. 5 at 157.

Book is in excellent condition outside of some of the corners of the cover being damaged from shipping. No highlighting, marks, etc. (Not in plastic wrap). New is $200.
