Message: It's the time of year for Herberger's Community Day Sale. The Augsburg Cheer Team is selling Community Day coupon booklets for a fundraiser. It's the same great deal this season: for each $5 donation you make to our cheer team, you will receive a $10 off coupon and eight 20% off coupons. It's going to be a big sale; there is even a bonus buy of $30 off entire stock of men's and women's Clarks shoes for that day. In addition, these coupons can be used at any Herberger’s, Bergner’s, Boston Store, Carson Prairie Scott, Elder-Beerman, and Yonker’s stores. Community Day is on Saturday, March 3rd, and we will be selling them from now until that day. Please let me know how many you or any of your family members or friends would like. Then, we can arrange when I can stop by to give you your coupons and pick up your donation. Thanks for your continuous support for our team!

If you would like to donate to our fundraiser and receive coupon booklets please contact Cheer Captain Megan Schiller at schillem@augsburg.edu.

Subject: El Salvador Fundraiser
Submitter:
Monique N Julian, Student

Message: Hello fellow Auggies
Did you know that the average family of five in El Salvador has a monthly Income of $165?

Did you know that a family of five in El Salvador needs to make $650 to buy enough food, clothes, and school supplies?

Did you know that the U.S. government wants to cut off family remittances to those in El Salvador?

Let’s help them out. After all that they have been through, they deserve chances just like us. Our government won't help, their government won't help, and it is up to us to help the communities in El Salvador develop in school and health care.

This is why my group from Religion 480-Christian faith and vocation in El Salvador, is holding a fundraiser this week only! We are selling Valentine's grams, and all of the profits go to these communities in El Salvador. We will be in Christensen selling until Friday!!! You can buy a candy gram for $1.50, a hand made card for $2.00, or both for only $3.00! This is a great deal and it is for a great cause. If you are sending these to someone on campus, we will make and deliver them for you!!! If you are sending these to someone off campus we will make and mail them for you!!! If you have any questions email me at julianm@augsburg.edu. I hope to see you all in Christensen this week buying some Valentine's grams, you can donate money too!!! I will also take email orders.

We will also be collecting any new or gently used Spanish books, novels and textbooks for a library in El Salvador. If you have any new or gently used laptops, we will gladly accept those as well...Thanks guys and keep up the generous work our Auggie prides stands for. Spread the word.
